What are Maskins®?

Maskins® are adhesive skins that render objects in common use unique – objects like mobile phones, electronic devices and elements of interior design – with a vast range of products that brings out the artistic taste of our clients in continuous evolution.

Our Skins are personalized and perfectly moulded to entirely cover the surfaces of your mobile phones, laptop or notebook computers, iPods, iPhones, Nintendo Wiis, Xboxes, Sony Playstations, PSP’s, DS Lites, pieces of interior design and much more.

 

Can Maskins® be reused?

Certainly – the materials used are repositionable. As a rule the reuse of the skins isn’t anticipated; some do reuse them, with this one trick: once removed from the device, put the skin back on its original support, flattening it as much as possible.

 

What should we do if we find ‘bugs’ in the website?

For any bug in the www.maskins.com website, alert us to the error at info@maskins.com and we’ll resolve the problem straight away.

 

Requirements to best use the site

To best use the site must meet the following requirements:

Internet Explorer version 9 or higher

Even if complying with the requirements you get error you need to send via info@maskins.com a screenshot of the error and the path of the last action performed.

 

I've registered but I haven't received a confirmation email

Check all through your email account, including the trash – it may have been sent there by your mail server. 

 

Why do I have to register on the website even if I don't want to make any purchases?

The choice to make the website’s users register is aimed at facilitating navigation and giving the possibility to use the website fully without the need to download cookies and other invasive software to the user’s computer. Our privacy and that of our users is important to us.

 

How will I receive my skin?

Our skins are mailed via national postal services or major international couriers. Generally it’s possible to choose between two rates for ordinary or trackable posting; the second allows the tracking of the package as it makes its way.

Standard Shipping
The delivery times, exceptional cases aside, are of 4-10 days from the mailing of the package†within Italy, 3-6 days for Europe, and 5-10 days for the rest of the world. Maskins® makes its mailings every Tuesday and Friday. 

Tracked Shipping
The delivery times, exceptional cases aside, are of 2 days from the mailing of the package within Italy, 2-3 days for Europe, and 4-5 days for the rest of the world. Maskins® makes its mailings every Tuesday and Friday.

The goods travel at the purchaser's risk. The delivery terms are not binding even when confirmed, and any breach of them will not lead to entitlement to the cancellation of orders or to damages.

 

Does Maskins® deliver to my country?

We send our products worldwide. The mailing costs are laid out in this table:

The Non-EU prices do not include customs charges, local taxes or intermediation costs. We advise you to check the local system before making an order.

 

How much will I have to pay in customs or import taxes?

We can’t say. Each country has its own regulations. The best thing is to contact the local customs office.Maskins® is not responsible for these potential expenses.

 

Can I come to your office and pick something up?

Unfortunately our office is not open to the public. Our delivery charges are deliberately very low and we reach everyone within a few days. For unusual situations contact us and we’ll try to find a solution.

 

Do you have sales representatives?

No. For any request for supplies greater than 40 skins contact reseller@maskins.com directly.

 

Can I pay in a currency other than euros?

All the prices are in euros (€). However, by using PayPal or credit card as a system of payment you can pay directly in your currency.

 

Can I return the product I have bought?

The replacement of products with manufacturing defects or damaged during transport is possible and the purchaser may request a replacement within 7 days of receiving the product, by writing to info@maskins.com. The email should contain a description of the defect or the damage.

At the request of MASKINS®, the purchaser may be obliged to return the defective or damaged product in its original packaging, whole in all its parts. MASKINS® reserves the right to either substitute the product or to reimburse the purchaser by issuing a Credit Note of a value equal to the value of the defective or damaged product, excluding delivery costs and any other related expense.

 

Why is my credit card not accepted on your website?

First of all, check that the data you’ve inserted is correct. Our products can be paid for by credit card or using PayPal. Problems may arise among the various credit card administrators: in the case of problems, contact your card’s administrator or use PayPal. Possible additional costs may be charged by your credit card administrator, in this case check with the card’s administrator.

 

How can I get wallpaper for my device?

For the skins in our gallery, matching backgrounds can be found on the page that you go to in order to buy the skin. For the skins created using the “to be yours” tool, the backgrounds are sent via email as soon as your order is dealt with.

 

I like an artwork but it isn’t shown for my device; what can I do to have it?

You can put any artwork on any device. Go to the “to be yours” section of the website, choose your device, load your favourite artwork from the gallery or your own personal artwork, and compose it as you prefer.

Can I customize my Maskins®?

Of course it’s possible! All you need to do is go to the section “To be yours” to start the customization, following the simple instructions. You’ll find a wide and always widening variety of new and diverse models for various devices.  

 

What’s the difference between ‘Artwork’ and ‘Personal Image’?

The artworks are the work of the artists who collaborate with Maskins® in the Artists section of the website. The personal images, on the other hand, are uploaded by the user.

 

Why are some Artworks not visualized within the personalization tool “To be yours”?

Within the gallery of Artworks there are some works that can’t be edited or repositioned.

 

What do the differently-coloured boxes under the images in “my library” mean?

Thanks for asking. The green boxes placed under images show that the image has been chosen by the user from among the artworks of the Maskins.com gallery and inserted among the user’s favourites (by clicking on the star just under the artwork), while the red boxes indicate the images uploaded to maskins.com directly by the user.

The X’s within the boxes allow the user to eliminate an image from “my library”.

 

How can I download the wallpaper of the skin that I created in "To be yours"?

Once you’ve created your skin with the “To Be Yours” tool and gone on to the purchase, go to your profile; at the bottom right you’ll find the “my wallpaper” link: click to access your download page. 

  

Is there a maximum to the number of personal images I can upload to “my library”

In “my library” it’s possible to insert as many images as you like; only 5 images can be placed together within the customization tool “To be yours”.  

To insert a further personal image within “To be yours”, you’ll first need to cancel one.

 

Is it possible to insert more than one “favourite” Artwork within the customization tool “To be yours”?

9 “favourite” Artworks can be loaded to “my library”. Each artwork may be used in the tool exclusively one at a time. However, together with the same image a text or background colours may be inserted.

 

Are there limits or particular characteristics that images must have in order to be uploaded?

To customize your skins, you can use images in jpg, png or gif formats. Make sure the images have a minimum size of 1500 px for devices like mobile phones and MP3’s, of 2500 px for tablets and e-readers, and of 4500 px for larger devices.

Who are the Artists of Maskins®?

Maskins® focuses on quality, the quality both of the materials used to produce our skins, and of the graphic artists who design the skins’ visuals.

For this reason, we’re always on the lookout for young artists of talent who are gifted with an engaging graphic style and personal technique, capable of creating emotions and working in the spirit of the times with their own style.

 

As an artist, how can I collaborate with Maskins®?

If you’re a graphic designer, photographer, illustrator or artist gifted with great creativity, send a brief biographical note accompanied by a selection of works (not more than 5) that you intend to propose, in the section of the website “To Be Artist”.

If your works are selected, you will be contacted for the stipulation of a contract for collaboration.

 

What do the artists who collaborate with Maskins® earn?

Your collaboration will be paid for in proportion to the number of skins sold, satisfaction and type of contract.

Maskins® proposes two different types of contract: commercial licence and exclusive commercial licence. Your work will have a showcase visible to a wide public -- Maskins® works with the biggest social networks and with the most famous blogs of the sector.

How can I become a reseller or distributor for Maskins®?

Just send us an email to reseller@maskins.com with a brief description of your company or shop, its location, and other information about your activity and about the information that you’d like to have. We’ll reply with the information requested as soon as possible. The minimum order is of 40 products.
